![]() ![]() I went from an airbrush graphics guy who just couldn’t grasp caricature head shapes and underlayments to someone who could sketch out a face in fundamental caricature with respectability. We propose three shape-inspired ideas for caricature generation from input frontal face portraits: 1) Extrapolation in the Golden Ratio and Primitive Shape Spaces 2) Use of art and psychology. Step Seven: Sign your name at the bottom of your sheet, and staple the picture you chose as your caricature inspiration onto the back of your sheet. Tom is a wealth of artistic knowledge and happy to go over, in detail, any question or issue you might have regarding your drawing ability. ![]() Step Six: Begin shading your drawing, (cross-hatching, hatching, pointallism, blending etc.), of your choice to finalize your drawing. Step Five: Perfect the details of your face, adding dimples, cheek bones, nostrals, ears, under-eye marks etc. while sculpting and editing the details of the shapes you've placed on the face. The T Shape and head shape combine to create the base of your caricature, over them the 5 shapes further define the relationships of the features, and over the 5 shapes the features themselves are drawn and things like bone structure, anatomy, expression, skin, hair and other details work to create the likeness and bring the underlying. To make the eyes, draw an oval shape with a slight tilt to the side at the top. Draw a vertical and horizontal line intersecting at the center, like in the image below: How to Draw Cartoon Eyes: Step 1. Once you have the circle or your oval head cartoon ready, it's time to trace the face axis. Look closely at the relationships between size, distance, and angles in your exaggerations. ![]() Draw in the shapes of the eye one, eye two, the mouth the nose into the shape of your face. Step Two: Back to basics! Let's make it simple! Sketch the first of the five shapes, (the outline of the face), from your picture on a blank sheet of sketchbook.
